The East of France was a highly industrialized region, but there is almost nothing of that past. Fortunately, the region was converted to tourism and there are now museums dedicated to the heritage that represents these old industries : steel and coal.
Photos 1 to 3 above were taken at the museum of Carreau Wendel, former coalmine of the Petite Rosselle, East of Metz, the others at the Museum of Neuf-Chef, a former iron mine near Thionville. The two main brands of these materials are Eimco and Joy.
